New Balance Falmouth Road Race !
We would like to wish Club Run With Us runners JACQUES SALBERG, ELI RODRIGUEZ and JAMES WOOLEY good luck this weekend running the 7 mile Falmouth race in Massachusetts. They were invited by New Balance to participate in this elite race which in the past has seen champions such as Bill Rodgers, Frank Shorter, Alberto Salazar, Joan Samuelson, Rod Dixon, Lorna Kiplagat and many more. With an average winning time of 32:01, their work is cut out for them.
The New Balance Falmouth Road Race celebrates its 39th running this year and the spirit which made the first Falmouth so special is still present today. More than 10,000 runners will gather in Woods Hole for the 2012 renewal, including many of the world's elite.
Sponsored for the first time this year by New Balance, the race is one of the showcase events in distance running and woven into the fabric of summer on Cape Cod, like Fourth of July fireworks and Labor Day weekend cookouts.

Angeles Crest 100 2012 !
Congratulations to Run With Us Ultra runners Jorge Pacheco for finishing 2nd in the AC 100 with a time of 21:12:13, Sada Crawford was the 3rd female and 17th overall in 25:04:03 and Jack Cheng in 44th with a time of 29:41:11
The AC100 is a race from Wrightwood to Pasadena. 100 miles includes 90 miles of trails and 8 miles of dirt road in the Angeles National Forest including portions of the Pacific Crest Trail, and 2 miles of paved road. The race starts on Park Street in downtown Wrightwood and finishes at Johnson's Field in Pasadena. There is a 21,610 ft. accumlative elevation gain, 26,700 ft. accumlative loss, resulting in a 48,310 feet total elevation Change. The highest point is Mt. Balden-Powell at the 9,210 ft. level.

Team Highlights!
Congratulations to Ricardo Ramirez (Club Run With Us) for winning the 1st annual Alemany 5K in 16:09. It was a fun morning and nice to see some familiar faces here at Alemany.
Another round of congratulations to Eli Rodriguez (Club Run With Us) for finishing 3rd at the tough Mt Wilson Trail Race in 1:04:07. Great job Mireya for finishing 2nd in the female division and Rene for finishing 6th. Way to represent the club.
2012 Pasadena Marathon!

Congratulations are in order for Run With Us runner Leslie Cole. Leslie won the 100 mt. (11.23) and 200 mt. (22.63) at Mt. Sac last weekend in the Invite Elite division. She is also now ranked 2nd in the world for the 200m.

Congratulations to Run With Us employees and Elite runners Mark Batres, Jacques Sallberg and Eli Rodriguez for winning the New Balance Cup at the Carlsbad 5000 this weekend. Run With Us competed vs Runners High, Running Center, A Runners Circle and Inside Track. The guys won by a combined time of 6 min and 7 sec. Now they have qualified to run the Falmouth Road Race in Cape Cod, Mass.

After two years of race cancellation due to severe weather conditions, eight ultra buddies sought the elusive C2M buckle on its last year of existence. Captained by lone lady, Coco Pimp vowed redemption along with Castaway, Jumpin' J, Leap Frog, Buckle Hoarder, Ultraholic and Happy Meal. Another successful edition of the High Desert Ultra! Once again we had a blast, sharing our backyard running trails with fellow runners. We had 326 of them sign up, and 295 finishers—219 in the 50K and 76 in the 30K. Most of our runners came from Southern California, but we had 32 from out of state, and a few from as far away as Alaska, New York, and Pennsylvania! Luckily, we were able to provide them with ideal running weather.more

2011 Hansen Dam 10 mile Annual Friendship Run

The Annual Hansen Dam 10 mile Friendship run took place last Sunday September 25th, 2011. First place was taken by Jacques Sallberg from Pasadena, Ca. with 0:52:57 hr. Second place was for Luis Ibarra with 0:54:59 hr, and third for José Merino with 0:57:32 hr. The women division was won by Liliana Morejón with 1:04:45 from Adidas Legacy Runners, Second was for Dora Perez with 1:07:30 and Rosario Castañeda with 1:08:03 both from Run With Us.
Mt. Disappointment 50K Run
August 13th, 2011, Mt. Wilson, CA Congratulations to Jorge Pacheco, Jack Cheng, Adalberto Mendoz, Anibal Corsi, Wilson Liu, Tin Tse, Carmela Layson and Mark Ryne from Run With Us Ultra Team who participated at the Mt. Kevin Chavez wins 2nd place at the Freiburger Laufnacht 6000 mt, Germany
Germany, July 2011: Congratulations to RWU runner Kevin Chavez for winning 2nd place at the Freiburger Laufnacht 6,000 mt run. Chavez came in behind favorite runner Jan Foester from Team Elite Buhrleaus in 18:09 minutes.
Pasadena Marathon May 15, 2011: Team RWU takes 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place at the Pasadena HalfMarathon while the woman division is won by Rosario Castañeda, 1st and Claudia Garcia, 2nd from RWU. The 10K race 1st place was for Mike Thatcher from Glendale and Dora Perez from Team Run With Us. At the Full marathon, RWU was represented by Ricardo Ramirez from Sun Valley, CA who came in 2nd place behind Justin Johnson from Seattle Washington. more results...
RWU elite Jacques Sallberg aids Team USA win gold at the NACAC
Run With Us elite runner Jacques Sallberg aids Team USA win gold at the NACAC Cross-Country Championships in Trinidad and Tobago. Sallberg, a Muir High in Pasadena, CA and Cal State Los Angeles graduate who has enjoyed a fine career as a steeplechaser in track, finished seventh individually to help the American team win the gold medal in the Men's Senior Division race, with Canada taking silver. Sallberg was timed in 24:02 for the 8-kilometer (5-mile) layout at Queen's Park Savannah in Trinidad.
2011 USA Cross Country Championship
Congratulations to our runners who participated in the 2011 USA Cross Country Championship: Jacques Sallberg finished 1st from California in 36:53 (4:54 pace) and 15th overall. Mark Batres finished 36th in 38:44 (5:09 pace). Danny Martinez was 9th in the Masters in 27:28 (5:27 pace)
