Favorite Shoe: For road running HOKA Skyward X 2 and trail running HOKA Mafate 5
Favorite Distance To Race: Half marathon road and 25K trail
Favorite Place To Run: Griffith Park
Favorite Post-Race Meal: Ice cold Coca Cola and cheeseburger
Training Philosophy: Smile and have fun. When it’s not fun anymore, take a little pause, breathe, and remember why you started. Life’s too short to forget to enjoy the journey.
Favorite Or Go-To Workout: After work trail run at Griffith Park
What I Like To Eat/Drink Before A Run: Protein shake and/or peanut butter sandwich
Favorite Quote That Inspires You: Very simple “it is what it is”
Why I Run: Because I feel FREE when I’m running. No stress, no sadness… just me, my legs, and pure happiness. I’m so grateful and blessed that my body allows me to move, explore, sweat, and do something that makes my soul happy.
I may not be the fastest, but I’m out here having FUN and honestly, that’s more than enough for me.
Where To Find Me When I’m Not Running: Work lol If I’m not out frolicking on a trail somewhere, just know I’m being held hostage by my 9–5.
Personal Bests: Finishing my first marathon in Detroit
Other Tidbits: Very Southern California girly: trails, mountains, Griffith Park, sunshine, beach and sports. Played soccer most my life until my knees were like girl enough. I get genuinely excited when I spot wildlife on the trails. I love animals and nature.
My sense of humor is basically “this is miserable…but at least it’s fun.” I find the good in everything and everyone. I care more about the experience than the numbers. If I am outside, moving, laughing, and exploring, for sure I am having a great day!
