Favorite place to run: Anywhere with dirt trails!
Favorite post-race meal: Depends on the race! If it’s a 5k, multi-grain cheerios with frozen berries and almonds. If it’s a marathon, burgers and beer.
Training philosophy: If you want to race fast, you have to train fast. I also believe in doing the little things–drills, strides, stretching, strength exercises.
Favorite or go-to workout: My favorite workout is 400s on the track–doing sets of three, where two are at pace and one is “hot” (faster), for three-four sets.
What I like to eat/drink before a run: Toast with peanut butter and banana, or a protein shake and a piece of fruit.
Favorite quote that inspires you: I have a mantra one of my assistant coaches in college told me: “With each step I am stronger.”
Why I run: I run because I love it. I run to explore new places. I run to find peace in a hectic world. I run to relieve stress. I run because it’s my greatest passion.
Where to find me when I’m not running: I’m a grad student so you can find me studying or in class!
