What year did you begin working at Run With Us?

2020

When & where did you go to high school? College? What did you study?

Benjamin Franklin High School in Highland Park. College was CSULA and I studied Spanish.

Did you run in high school and/or college?

I ran T&F in high school for two years. Did not run in college.

When & how & why did you get in to the sport of running?

I got into the sport of running in 2012 after I did a random Hot Chocolate 15k. When I got to the race and felt the energy and music, I was hooked.

Do you have a favorite moment that stands out in your running career?

Being on group runs with friends out on the trails and then going out to eat after is probably what stands out the most. Morning jitters before a race is always a cool feeling too.

Any personal records we should know about?

Umm I recently ran a 2:33:52 at the 2020 LA Marathon so that’s my marathon PR for now. I’m aiming to crack 2:30 in 2021.

In competition, what is or was your favorite distance?

The Marathon has to for sure be my favorite.

Road, Track, Trails, Treadmill, Couch?

Anything but the Track! I’m not a big fan of track workouts >_<

What do you enjoy most about the sport or your own running?

I love how one activity like running can have an impact on your entire life. Running can impact everything from physical health to mental focus to your view on life and goal setting. Running is how I love to discover new places and see the world. 

Since working at Run With Us, what has been your favorite aspect of the job?

OMG for sure laughing with the staff. Sometimes I like to just stop by to get a good laugh.

What has been your favorite running shoe of all-time? What is your favorite shoe currently?

The HOKA ONE ONE Clifton franchise has probably been the shoe that I’ve put the most miles in over the past 5 years but my favorite HOKA of all time was probably the Huaka. Currently, the Saucony Endorphin Speed is my favorite. It’s super light, cushioned enough for easy runs and fast enough to trust it on race day.

Do you have a favorite meal of all-time?

Pizza and a West Coast IPA 

Outside of Run With Us & Running, do you have any other interests?

 In 2020 I loved learning about video editing and also Illustrator. I’m a huge Marvel fan, love basketball, and if I wasn’t constantly trying to learn new things I’d love reading History books.
